Bradenton native, Stan Cromartie, joins us most recently from South Carolina State University where he served in the Office of Compliance, was the Strength and Conditioning Coach and the Top Assistant Coach. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Edward Waters College in Jacksonville, Florida in 1990 and went on to serve as their Head Basketball Coach, the youngest Head Coach in that school's history. During his tenure there he set a school record with 19-10 in the 1992 season, earned Coach of the Year honors from Introtainment Magazine, was named Outstanding Coach for the Pensacola Christian College Tournament and achieved a 90% graduation rate for his players. From there he moved on to Bethune-Cookman College, Valencia Community College and Seminole Community College before accepting his position with South Carolina State University. In addition to his duties as Athletic Director for Bradenton Prep, he will also serve as coach of the Varsity Girl's Basketball team.
Career Highlights include:
- Mid-Florida Conference Coach of the Year
- Introtainment Sportsman - Basketball Coach of the Year
- FCCAA Hall of Fame Nominee
- The first Head Coach to lead Seminole Community College Men's and Women's Basketball teams to State Tournament
- Earned a Top Ten Ranking 5 out of 7 seasons in the FCCAA Conference.
- Assisted Bethune-Cookman's team in achieving 60% (Best) winning percentage in 3 seasons for Division I Basketball program
